Nathanial Douglas Worthey

November 24, 1978 - November 4, 2024

Nathanial Douglas Worthey, 45, of Bloomington, Ill. passed away Monday, November 4, 2024.

He was born November 24, 1978 in Bloomington, Ill. to Douglas and Joy (Lease) Worthey.

Nathanial was a special person. He always said hello. He loved pizza, snacks, spaghetti and fish. He also loved his cats, Max, Sissy, Buttercup, tigers, cows, John Deere, Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. He loved music and NASCAR as well.

He was chosen to go to heaven sooner than expected. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Douglas (Angela) Worthey; stepmother, Lisa (Scott) Edlund; sister, Tabitha (Gerald) Worthey; two nephews, Keenan Van Note and Evan Van Note.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy; paternal grandparents, Donald "Wayne" and Donna Worthey; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Bernice Lease.

The family will be holding a celebration of Nathanial's life at a later date. Arrangements are through East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, Ill. 61704. Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.eastlawnmemorial.com.

I use to be the supervisor on the school bus that picked up Nathan. He was always a joy to be around. I´m glad I got to know him and his dad.
