Robert Anthony Pate
April 2, 1982 - Nov. 15, 2023
DECATUR - Robert Anthony Pate, 41, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, surrounded by his family.
A visitation and classic car show will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, followed by a classic car processional to Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Everyone is encouraged to bring their cars in honor of Rob.
Rob was born April 2, 1982, in Monmouth, IL, son of Ronald Pate and LuAnn (Doyle) Kelker. He married Rebecca Fitzsimmons on July 21, 2001, in Decatur.
Rob worked in sales with Rush Trucks International for 21 years. He enjoyed classic cars and was currently rebuilding his 1968 Chevy C-10. He also enjoyed golf and had a hole-in-one at Bunn Park. Rob was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan. He most treasured time spent with his family.
Rob is survived by his wife of 22 years, Rebecca; father, Ronald; mother, LuAnn Kelker; son, Dayton; and daughter, Jordyn; sister, Jayme Phillips (Matt) of Decatur; brother, Ryan Pate (Emily) of Rochester; grandfather, Trinidad Arteaga of Monmouth.
Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents.
