Joel Davies Obituary
Joel was preceded in death by his father Bennett Davies, and his mother Miriam Davies. Joel is survived by his daughter, Cassie Davies; his son, Orion Davies; three grandchildren; and his brother, Fred Davies of West Long Branch, NJ.
A gathering of remembrance will be held in Paradise at the Cozy Diner on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Arrangements are entrusted to Oroville Funeral Home (530) 533-0323.

Sept has already gotten rather chilly right quick-like here. Been thinking 'bout how these last 4 years have gone almost like a roller coaster at times. I've recently heard from Huffy and also Micky the fe-mule cuz of Farmer's GuestBook. We'll see you on the other side with much love still.Peace:)

I'm so very grateful that the good folks of Emule made your birthday the best day of your life, as you put it and told us last year on Emule! None of us could really have known how very little time you had left with us at that point! I did remember your birthday yesterday, but slept all day to keep from crying and missing you so very much. Joel I know we lost contact after we broke-up but that doesn't change the fact that you are and always will be a loving caring person. You have always had a smile no matter the situation. Miss you Joel! Although we never met in person, our emails and phone calls more than made up for it. The Woody-era videos that you sent for Savannah's Christmas present last year definitely played a great part in planting the seed for her to sing with the Mule at Another One for Woody. I only wish you could have been there to see it, but I know that you and Allen were looking down and beaming with pride!

Joel introduced me into the eMule/Gov't Mule community and I was never ever able to thank him for that. His contribution to our family is beyond reproach. I've had the privilege to meet Joel and share a show with him and for that I will forever be grateful. Our time together working on eMule and Mulebase only strengthened the relationship. It'll never be the same without him. My sincere and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

Joel Thanks for running Emule and thanks for all you did to keep Emule running after the change over from Netspace. I already miss you. Although I never met you in person. We communicated by email several times over the years. RIP Brother.

My prayers go out to Joel's family in this difficult time. Like others in the eMule community, I never had a chance to meet Joel but his presence in my everyday life is huge! Joel shared music and made it simple for someone like me to find a home for our favorite band. He gave so much of his time to sharing and I'm thankful for that, you will be deeply missed my friend! Joel shared his love of music with many of us online. He also went out of his way to help people whenever he could. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, his positive spirit always came through.

Joel was perhaps the most genuine and generous person I've ever known. Everything about him beemed with love and blessings. A true gift from God gone from Paradise to the eternal Paradise! I'll miss him on this earthly plane until I am called home as well, where we'll meet in Glory. My deepest sympathy goes to all of his loved ones! I love them too because we are all part of ONE Love! "WWJD?" is something I told Joel years ago stands for "What Would Joel Do?"
