Marianne Killian Obituary

Marianne Killian, age 68 of Magalia, CA was born on February 27, 1938 in Jenna, Germany to Paul and Erika Muir. She received her schooling in Germany before coming to America, where she settled in San Francisco. She was a manager for International Imports/Exports Company in San Francisco for 30 years. She enjoyed visiting her beloved Germany on occasion, loved gardening and gourmet cooking.
Marianne was on the Olympic Gymnastic Team for East Germany and would have participated in the 1956 Melbourne, Australia Olympics if East Germany had been recognized. Marianne escaped from East Germany at the age of 17 to come to America.
Also in her adventures and interesting life she was a Playboy Bunny at the famous San Francisco Playboy Club in the late 1960's.
Surviving is her mother, Erika and cousin, Gisela and family of Germany and her caring friends, Paul Lee and neighbors who loved her. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory though Chapel of the Pines Mortuary. Private Scattering will take place in Marin County near San Francisco following cremation thorough Chapel of the Pines Crematory at 5691 Almond St., Paradise, CA.
