Donald Neil Dean

Irmo, SC- - Services for Donald Neil Dean, 70, were conducted 3:00 pm Friday 12/23/2011 at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church of Lexington, SC. Memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb UMC, or Pancreatic Research, or Barnwell Pres. Ch., or your favorite charity. Mr. Dean passed away Wednesday December 21, 2011. He was a member of Mt. Horeb UMC, former member and Elder of Barnwell Presbyterian Church, a former member of Masonic Lodge in Ohio, Lions Club in Barnwell, and was presented SC Ambassador for Economic Development by SC Gov. Jim Hodges. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a retired Engineer and Plant Manager in the Chemical Industry. Survivors include his wife of 48+ years, Patricia M. Siebert Dean, sons, Gregory (Melinda) Dean of Il, Kevin (Hope) Dean of TX, and Tyeler (Kristen) Dean of SC, sister, Mary (Jim) Spiker of MO, grandchildren, Justin, Jessyca, Austin, Samantha and Ashlyn Dean, and Alex Evans.

Sharon & I were shocked & sadden when we read this today. Everytime we would think of ya'll, it was always a fun & great time. Coach Don molded young boys into great men today. Our prayers are with you & your family. Steve & Sharon Ford
