Donald (Don) H. Williamson, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 16, 2017. He was born in Gustine, Texas to Willie Washington Williamson and Francis Elizabeth Donald Williamson on November 19, 1934. Don is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dorothy, daughter Catherine (Cathy) Dale Williamson Odle and son Darrell Wayne Williamson. Brothers Willard, J. P., Fonzy, W. H., and sisters Juanita and Rosaline.
Don is survived by his wife Betty J. Busbee Williamson, grandson Erik J. DeSimone and wife Danielle and children, grandson Joshua D. Williamson and wife Shawna, daughter-in-law Kimberley Williamson, great-grandsons Erin DeSimone, Cody DeSimone and Bret Williamson. Great-great grandsons Avery DeSimone and Jaxon DeSimone. Great-granddaughter's Cloie Sunshine DeSimone and Emily Elizabeth Williamson due in May, 2018. Step-children Debbie Schools, husband Curtis and children, Gregory Busbee, wife Tina and children. Brother, George Williamson and wife Donna, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was a member of Freeway Manor Baptist Church in Houston where he also served as a deacon. He retired from Stauffer Chemicals after 20+ years to create a new business; Johnson and Williamson Welding Services with his friend Billy Johnson.
The service will be held at Freeway Manor Baptist Church, 2300 Rodney St., Houston, Texas 77034 on Monday, November 20, 2017. Visitation at 1:30 p.m. with service following at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Freeway Manor Baptist Church in Don's memory.
