Everett Lee Grubbs, 75, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Jacinto City Health Care Center in Houston, Texas.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents George Thomas and Mary (Watson) Grubbs, his sister Miriam Tullis, brother Brian O'Neal Grubbs and one grandson, John Anthony Grubbs.
He is survived by his children, Clyde Lee Grubbs, Celeste & husband Wayne Todd, LaVerne Adams, and Shannon Grubbs, his sister, Ruby Slack, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Everett was born November 4, 1937 in Patroon, Texas. He grew up in San Antonio where he met Jean Ellis. In 1960 they were married. They and their two children moved to Houston, and Everett worked hard for Southwest Oil as a sandblaster. While in Houston, they had a third child. Everett loved to fish and to spend time with family and friends.
After his marriage to Jean ended, Everett married Joanne Brown. While he was married to Joanne, Everett's last child was born.
Later in life, Everett enjoyed going to church and participating in church activities.
The Funeral Service celebrating Everett's life was held at Niday Fairmont Funeral Home. Interment followed at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
