Frank Norris Gamble, Sr., 88, of Deer Park, passed away July 17, 2015. He was a long-time resident of Shoreacres, where he had lived for more than 40 years before moving to the Waterford. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was loved by a large extended family and many friends, including many brothers and sisters-in-law from his late wife's family whom he loved dearly. He was a faithful member and church deacon to Bayshore Baptist Church in LaPorte for 50 years. He was the 63rd employee hired at Ethyl Corporation in Pasadena, which is now known as Albemarle. He retired from Ethyl after 36 years of service. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Nell Gamble, two sons Wayne Gamble and George Gamble, his parents, Cecil and Minnie Gamble, his brother Fred Gamble and three infant children. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Freisleben and husband Jamey of Pasadena; Son Norris Gamble and wife Yvonne of Pasadena; daughter-in-law Darlene Bays and husband Ken of Shoreacres; nine grandchildren, Aaron Freisleben of Humble; Amy Daugherty and husband Robert of San Leon; Ashley Tucker and husband Adam of Dickinson; LauraAnne Madl and husband Jonathan of the Colony; Tammy Dowdy and husband Kent of League City; Tim Gamble and wife Stacy of LaPorte; Taryn Netek and husband Jason of Deer Park; Kyle Gamble of Humble; and Tiffany Neal and husband Jonathan of Cypress; 15 great-grandchildren Elias Daugherty, Ella Daugherty, Abby Tucker, Paige Madl, Eddie Madl, Ella Madl, Emily Dowdy, Chloe Gamble, Natalie Gamble, Trey Hazel, Greyson Netek, Zane Netek, Owen Netek, Colton Neal and Cooper Neal. The family extends special thanks to the staff at the Waterford for their help and to his special friend Mary Marks of LaPorte for her love and companionship to him over the past several years. Family will receive friends at Bayshore Baptist Church 2-5pm, Sunday July 19, 2015, with services at the church Monday July 20, 2015 at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow. Interment will follow the luncheon at 2:30 pm at Brookside Cemetery Humble Texas. The family requests memorials be made to the Nell Gamble Children's Building at Bayshore Baptist Church, 11315 Spencer Highway, LaPorte, TX 77571.
