I joined the Pasadena Police Dept. in December 1966 and in February of 1967 I was assigned to night shift. George was my training officer and scared the daylights out of me. He did not speak to me for the first week unless I asked a legitimate question and the answer was always to the point. We rode together for my first six months and George would always tell me the day you don't learn something new about policing is a day you wasted. I have George to thank for molding me into the Police Officer I became for the next forty six years working in patrol and detectives. I considered George and true friend and a lifelong partner. He will be missed.
