Once diagnosed with renal failure eight years ago, Guadalupe "Lupita" Andrade never gave up. She never complained, maintaining a brave and cheerful outlook on an optimistic future-especially when her granddaughters were born.
Guadalupe, known to her friends and family as Lupita, was born on March 30, 1946 and grew up in Brownsville, TX. While working at Fisher's Cafe, she met Jesus Andrade and it was not long before the two were married in February 1971.
Filled with compassion and interest in others, Lupita made friends easily and maintained contact with many. She babysat whenever possible and loved seeing children receive their full potential. She was an active voluteer in Pasadena ISD helping children read and at La Iglesia del Pueblo in various capacities throughout the years. Two of the employments that Lupita had after marriage included taking the 1990 Census in Brownsville and helping voters during several elections in Pasadena.
At her 68 years, Lupita was preceded in death by her mother Aurelia Camero, her father Damian Hernandez, her brothers Damian Jr., Jose, Manuel and her sisters Adelina, Ramona and Juanita.
She is survived by her husband Jesus, and her two children: David and Martha, her son-in-law Amado Robles Garcia and her two granddaughters Klarissa and Izabella. Additionally surviving family include her sister Mariana Blanco and her brother Jesus Hernandez as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
Her life will be celebrated in a small service on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at Grand View Funeral home in Pasadena, Texas. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.

My condolences to your family. There are no words to express how grateful I am to my tía Lupita. She was not only a pillar to my formative years but a strong support in my adulthood as well. I thank the Lord for allowing me to enjoy her company.
She will be missed but most importantly she will always remain in our hearts. To her family, may the Lord grant you the comfort and guidance as you endure the loss of a great woman.
