1919-2014
Hilda McLean Vaughan, 94, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God and was a teacher for many years. She was a wonderful dedicated pastor's wife… but above all, she was a MOTHER.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Oswalt.
She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, William W. Vaughan; son, Reverend Randall Vaughan (Janelle); daughter, Priscilla Vaughan; two granddaughters, Lisa Vaughan Watson (Kenneth) and Emily Vaughan; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy Watson and Jason Watson and a nephew, Christopher Oswalt.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2014 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Al Haas officiating. Interment will follow at Bay view Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Oswalt, Steve Holloway, Michael Holloway, Joey Therrell,Troy McHenry, Kenneth Watson and Charles Byrd.

Rev. & Mrs. Vaughan were our pastors in Ashland, Kentucky for many years. Extremely fine, loving people. Made many friends while in Ashland, both inside and outside the "church". Just wonderful individuals.

Sis Vaughan was an inspiration to all who came in her contact. She always had a kind word for everyone. Both she and Pastor Vaughan were true pastors to all of the Eight Mile Assembly church. We are sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you.

Sister Vaughan was a very important part of my childhood at Victory Assemby of God in Eight Mile. The Vaughan's ministry there is the reason many of us are serving Christ today. They will always have a special place in my heart. To the Vaughan family, I am sorry that I could not be with you today. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you all.
