James Grubbs Obituary

James Ferguson Grubbs went to be with Jesus on June 6th with his wife Louise by his side. He was born December 2, 1924 in Beaumont, Texas. He grew up in Port Arthur, Hillister & he graduated from Woodville High School, served in the Navy and the Merchant Marines. Came to Pasadena and worked at Albemarle formerly Ethyl Corporation for over 30 years. He was known for his wit, practical jokes, and his strong handshake. He was a member of First Methodist of Pasadena and an active member of the Ethyl Retiree Club. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend.

Survived by, wife, Louise Grubbs, daughter & son in law Linda & Jim Hunter, Grandchildren Adam & Sarah Hunter, Claire and Chad Olivier, Christina and Bo Stevens & their children Alyshia & Christopher, Brother Lloyd and his wife Virginia and their families. Niece Sondra and husband Bob, their children and their families.

He was preceded in death by parents Emanuel O. Grubbs & Dessie McCall, wife Florene Grubbs, Brother E. O. Grubbs and Sisters Hazel Riche & Jeri Dressler.

I worked with Jimmy at Ethyl Corp.....He was the greatest, he was a friehd to everyone...he never met a stranger...He could make you laugh all the time.
