James (Jim) Henry Lee, Sr. passed from this life on October 23, 2015.
He was born in Covington, Virginia on January 3, 1922. James was a World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army in France, Germany and England.
He was transferred from Virginia to Texas with NASA in 1962, and worked for NASA until his retirement.
His hobbies included wood working, pool and softball. He was an avid softball player until the age of 92.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Evelyn Lee. He leaves behind 2 children, James H. Lee, Jr., of Poquoson, Virginia, and Jane Landers, of Manvel, Texas, and their families.
He was a lifelong member of the Baptist Faith. South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena was his church home for the last 23 years.
A memorial service will be held at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 East Sam Houston Pkwy. South, on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
The family requests that donations, and in lieu of flowers, be given to South Main Baptist Church.
