, 68, was called home by God on October 6, 2014. He was preceded into Heaven by his son, Jimmy; mother, Martha; grandparents, John and Buby; and father-in-law, Chester. Scotty was born in Dallas, TX on August 7, 1946, and was raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He enlisted in the Marine Corp immediately after high school graduation. Scotty served in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Marine divisions and did three tours in Vietnam. He spent 40 years in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management after his Marine Corp enlistment. Scotty worked on projects both domestically and numerous international projects. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois; sons, John Scott, and Jeff Stewart, daughters, Jan and Lorrie; granddaughter, Nation; Grandsons, Trevor, Joshua, Jeffrey, and Buddy; great grandson, Shiner Bock; Aunts, Rebecca and Gail, and numerous other relatives and friends. His friends are too numerous to list, but he would want you to know that he loved you all and was so happy you were a part of his life. Scotty would have also desired to mention his dog, Elie. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 10am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with interment immediately following.
Active pallbearers: Jeff Jordan, Jeffrey Jordan, Chip Freeman, Trevor Freeman, Josh Freeman and Bud Sellers. Honorary pallbearers: Nation Jordan, Shiner Murphy, Ken Burch, The Marine Core League of Galveston, and The Marine Core League - McLemore.
In lieu of flowers, Scotty had requested that donations be made to the Marine Corp Leagues of Houston and Galveston to assist with their numerous charities.
