John Henry Houtz passed away peacefully on June 22, 2012. He was born September 2, 1917 in Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Houtz; son, Johnny Mack Houtz and his wife Vicki; granddaughters, Jessica Houtz, Stacy Houtz, Deborah and Jerry Taylor and his son Tristan; great grandchildren, Brittanie and Cody Bolin; brother, George Houtz and wife Betty of Iowa. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945 during WWII and moved to Texas in 1953 and has been a long time resident of Pasadena. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 211 for 55 years. He was a loving devoted husband for 65 years and a wonderful father and grandfather. He was a man of honor, integrity, and a man of God. He lived his life in the name of the Lord and set this example for all that were blessed to know him. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26 2012 from 6PM to 8PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2012 at 12:30PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
