Katheryn West, 86, passed away on August 21, 2012, in Pearland, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Delbert & Grace Pierce, 1 brother, Nelson Pierce, and her favorite Aunt, Edith Reigler. She is survived by her proudest accomplishments, her 8 children: sons and daughters-in law, Bob Quinn, Mike & June Quinn, Frank & Cheryl Baker Quinn, Dennis & Louise Quinn; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia & Jake Jacobs, Paulette Quinn, Kathleen & Kenneth Jost, Teresa & Larry Barrett; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; sister, Ruth Pierce Hixon; brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Thelma Pierce; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Katheryn retired from the US Postal Service and had many hobbies: ballroom dancing, sewing, crocheting, quilting, music and loved singing in the church choir. She loved to paint and sold many of her paintings.
Services were held at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to NANTZ National Alzheimer Center, Methodist Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 4384, Houston, TX 77210-4384.

I have always held my sister in my heart. She was always my hero, and let me know I could do anything I wanted. I was always her baby sister, she was the big sister I looked up to and loved and always will. Her children were her life. She raised a loving and beautiful family. She will live on in all our hearts.
