Kathleen Fitzgerald Obituary

Kathleen Fitzgerald lost her long battle to MS on Monday, September 13, 2021. Loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin to many who will miss her spunk, her passion and her wit. She will be greatly missed.

Born in Houston, Texas on June 19, 1948 to Edward and Harriet Fitzgerald, they soon moved to Pasadena, Texas where she spent her childhood. Kathleen was proud of her Irish heritage and was a very devout Catholic. Her involvement with her faith showed over the years from teaching communion preparation classes, to working with the school, churches in Pasadena, Angleton, Groves, and most recently her involvement with assisting the priest in performing mass at the nursing home where she lived.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson Riley Packer, Kathleen is survived by her children, Allison James her husband, Jerry and children Payton and Ethan; Eiranne Armstead her husband Brandon and children Christian, Caleb and Cameron; Andrew Hooie; Brendan Hooie his wife Maru and children Sebastian and Justin; and Patrick Hooie, his wife Jessica and children Conner and Nathan. She is also survived by her brother Edward, his wife Glenda and sister, Molly, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

From a young age, Kathleen had a desire to perform in the theater, which led her to New York and Los Angeles to follow that dream. She also had a passion for politics which led her to become involved in several campaigns in her younger years and she continued to follow current news events throughout the world. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and spent many hours at the computer reviewing and researching her family tree.

A 5:00 pm Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena, Texas. The family requests in lieu of flowers, to please donate the local Multiple Sclerosis Society.
