Mildred Wade Obituary
She was born on February 28, 1927 to Lawrence and Verner Winn in Hugo, Oklahoma. Millie worked at the Pasadena Post Office for nearly 30 years.
She graduated from Milby High School of Houston, TX in 1944. She married her first husband, Jody Prazak Sr., in 1945 until his death in 1966, with whom she had her 3 children: Jody, Lawrence, and Susan.
She then found the love of her life & travel partner, Chester Roy Wade, to whom she was married from 1968 until his death in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Gladys McManus & Lorene Fairchild, her eldest son Jody Prazak, her stepson Wayne Roy Wade, stepdaughter April Mortensen, and grandson Michael Prazak.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence Prazak, daughter, Susan Prazak Partridge and husband Ronnie; granddaughters Laura Thomas, Sonia Prazak, & Juliette Prazak; grandsons Preston & Casey Partridge; compassionate nieces Cheri Pitts and Sissy Slaton, and nephew Lou Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by step-daughter Becky Anderson and her 3 children; and step-son Mitchell Wade & his son.
Millie was a lifelong servant to the Lord & faithfully attended church as long as she was able. She was a member of Clayton Avenue, Golden Acres, Austin Avenue, Glenwood, and Shadycrest Baptist Churches.
The funeral service was held May 19, 2023 at Peevey Funeral Home, interment followed at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, TX.

Condolences to the family. I knew Millie (and Chester) for many years. Millie was a wonderful friend, we could talk for hours about so many things. I miss her. Often, I pass by their old house in Pasadena and think of them each time.
