Norman Ray Cooper, 80 of Pasadena, Texas passed away at his home Monday, June 4, 2018. He was born July 26, 1937 in Fillmore, Indiana to Robert and Mildred (Storm) Cooper. He attended college in Franklin, Indiana from 1955-1959 and continued to live in the Orleans area until marrying Treva Ann Munsey on September 12, 1958. After graduating from Franklin College in 1959 with an Economics and Business Administration degree, he went to work as a civilian for the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio as a contract specialist and in 1962 was transferred to Warner Robins, Georgia. After 3 months he agreed to go to Houston ,Texas to work for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration working as Chief of Procurements before retiring in May of 1994 after 37 years of service.
Norman moved to Pasadena, Texas in September 1962 and has resided there since then and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pasadena.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Friday, June 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Pasadena with Pastor Roland Hill and Pastor Jon Redmond officiating. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening June 7, 2018 at Grand View Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Howard Sands, Bob Driver, Larry Kenyon, Robbie LaBrier, Eddie Dillow, Gordon Gouldin, John Jones, John Callo, Gene Hatten, Conrad Pucket, Joel Barton, John Gouldin and Darell Beilay.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Mildred Cooper and his sister and brother-in-law; Joanne and Larry Schmelzel.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Treva Ann Cooper; son, Michael Dean Cooper; daughter, Sheri Exnicious and husband, Ryan; grandchildren, Brittney Antill and husband, Chandler; Jessica Stanard and husband, Joshua; and Michael Dean Cooper, Jr.

I fondly remember Norman from our time growing up in Orleans, Indiana. He was one great guy, and I am very saddened to learn of his passing. Also, I have been asked by several of our schoolmates in Orleans to extend to his family our heartfelt and sincerest condolence.
