Ralph G. Howell, 84, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be 6 -9pm Tuesday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will be 2pm Wednesday at Pinelake Church, Reservoir Campus with visitation starting at 1pm prior. Interment will be in Fannin United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Howell was born in Houston, TX on July 25, 1930. He served in the US Army from 1956-1958. Following his service years he joined his father's business, Dixie Auto Parts of Pasadena, TX and was co-owner for over 30 years. He was past President of the Texas Auto and Truck Parts Association, lifetime member of the Pasadena Livestock and Rodeo Association. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason for 63 years, and past member of the S.P. Waltrip Lodge #1328 of Houston, TX, and current member of Pasadena, TX Lodge #1155 and member of the Eastern Star Pasadena Chapter #711.
Mr. Howell formerly lived in Pasadena, TX and has lived the past 10 years in Mississippi. He was a founding member of The Journeymen. Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a successful business man who loved automobiles of all kind. For the many people who crossed paths with Ralph was to have a true friend for life.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Howell; children, Brenda (Charles) Everts of Tiki Island, TX, Steve Howell of Willis, TX, Debbie (Phil) Harris of League City, TX, Alyssa (Carl) Souders of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Shane (Wendy) Day, Steven Paul Howell, Heather Estis, Ashton E. Whitley, Peyton N. Wright, Chase M. Harris and Cady (William Paul) Jarman; and his one and only great grandson, Dylan Day; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Clark Howell, Sr.; mother, Helen Keller Gray-Howell; brother, Clayton Clark Howell, Jr and wife, Shirley; and sister, Margaret Griffin and husband, Ray.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hederman Cancer Center at the Baptist Hospital, Hospice Ministries or charity of your choice.
