Ray Parker Obituary

Ray Calvin Parker, 76, of Deer Park, TX, passed away October 1, 2018.

Ray Parker was born in Houston, TX on February 19, 1942. Upon graduation from high school, he entered the United States Air Force and was a proud airman all of his days.

He worked for Crown Petroleum for many years. After retiring, he enjoyed volunteering as a Master Gardener for Armand Bayou and Almeda Genoa Friendship Garden and enjoyed live music and dancing at his favorite honky tonks.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Louise Parker, brothers Sonny and Wayne Parker. He is survived by many beloved family members including his sister Marilyn McCoy, and brothers Gene Parker and Grady Parker, nieces Marilyn Sue Newman and husband Tim and Jackie McCoy, great nephew Timothy Newman and Aaron Nelson, great nieces Amanda Newman, Ashley Burnett and husband Ryan, great grand nephew, Colton Burnett, niece Blythe Derrick and great grand nephews Tristan Doyle and David Derrick.

He is also survived by his loved stepchildren, Kelleyne and Jim Beckham, Nicole and Kevin Beckham and Deanna and Danny Provorse, along with many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be November 3rd at Armand Bayou Nature Center at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Armand Bayou Nature Center or Almeda Genoa Friendship Garden.
