Rolland Carroll Kuhn passed away in his home surrounded by his family and friends n Deer Park, TX on July 5. 2013 at the age of 75. He was born on January 24, 1938 in Winnie, TX to Eva Guidry and Ray Kuhn. Rolland is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lucy Lee Allen Kuhn, his sisters Dot Johnson and her husband David Ray Johnson and Pattie Price and her daughter Tina Nicole Friend. His daughter Jo Carol Kuhn-Jones and son in-law Johnny Jones and granddaughters Brandy Ellyn Jones and Brittany Lee Jones and his son Ray Lee Kuhn and grandsons Dylan Allen Kuhn and Ryan Bradley Kuhn. Rolland was a loving and devoted family man. During his life he was in the Air Force which allowed him to begin his travel around the world. When he married his wife Lucy in 1959 he continued to travel the world with his family in tow. He was hard working jack of all trades man, he worked many different professions, always with passion and pride. His biggest passion was his family. He was a devoted doting husband who loved his wife with his whole heart. The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Monday July 8, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:00am in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park. Hi Lucy: I apologize if there is a double entry. I'm just not sure my first entry processed. I'm so sorry to hear of Rolland's passing. I know you will all miss him very much. I only got to meet him a couple of times years ago, but I know he was a huge part of all your lives. I just hope that things get easier for you all as the days pass. I'm thinking of you all.

He was a kind, caring person and will be missed by everyone who knew him. My girls still call him "Papa Roland" because he was the closest thing to a grandfather they knew growing up. He was loved and his family can take pride in the fact that he made a difference and left a legacy which will be hard to match.
