Taryn Marie Giles Whitaker passed away on March 19, 2013 in Deer Park, TX at the age of 54. She was born on August 25, 1958 in San Antonio, TX. Taryn is preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Tarin Pavlu, and 1 brother, Michael Giles. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, John Whitaker; 1 daughter, Samantha Charlene Whitaker; her father, Charles Golden Giles and step mother, Lynette Giles; 1 brother, Eddie Giles and his wife Sherry; 1 sister, Debra Leighton; 2 nephews, Christopher B. Leighton, Thomas A. Leighton and his wife Donna; great-nephew, Nicholas Leighton; second cousin, Paul Coan and his wife Lois; and 2 third cousins, David Coan and Christie Coan; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service in honor Taryn will take place on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
