Warren Eldon Marsh was born to Daniel Booker Marsh and Katherine Amalie Hartman Marsh in Duboise, Nebraska on March 9, 1925. He went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2012. Warren was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Alpha Mae Holt Marsh, his parents, Daniel Booker Marsh and Katherine Amalie Hartman Marsh and his brothers, Robert Eugene Marsh and Clifford Vernon Marsh. He is survived by his three children, Stephanie Yvonne McClain, Ronald Eugene Marsh, and Angelia Dean Mungle, his grandchildren, Lindsay Renay McClain Fisher (Michael), Tessa Ann Marsh, Kaitlyn Noel McClain and Travis Charles Mungle, his great grandchildren, Daniel Jaden Fisher and Elliana Elizabeth Fisher, his brothers, Roger William Marsh (Mabel), Walter Wilson Marsh (Jean), Chester Henry Marsh (Naomi) and Daniel Booker Marsh Jr. (Ann), his sister, Margaret Jean Marsh Benfer (Harold) and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Warren graduated with honors from Troy Rural High School in Troy, Kansas and enlisted in the service during WWII, graduating from California Polytechnic College and entering Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma, eventually becoming a pilot in the U.S. Naval Air Corps. After his service to his country, he moved to Pasadena, Texas where he worked for over 40 years at First Pasadena State Bank, met and married his wife and raised his family. He attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a degree in Banking and Finance and was promoted through the ranks to Senior Vice President of the bank. He loved and served the Lord all his life and was active in church ministry with his wife, Alpha, by his side. He was also active in community service, as a founding member of the Pasadena Noon Optimist Club, serving for many years as president. Warren will be profoundly missed by his family and remembered as a faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
A visitation was held Wednesday evening, April 25, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home, Pasadena, Texas 77505. The interment took place at Veterans Houston National Cemetery, Thursday morning, April 26, 2012 at 10 a.m.
