Hugo Miller Obituary

MILLER - Hugo Miller Jr., of Arcadia, CA, recently died from Alzheimer's disease. He was 83 years old. The son of Grace and Hugo Miller, he was raised in Fresno, California. After graduation from high school he entered the Army Air Force and served as an armorer throughout the European campaign of World War II. He returned to Fresno and attended Cal State Fresno and graduated from UC Berkeley in Fore stry. He worked in the redwood industry for a number of years then moved to Southern California where he was in construction. Hugo was preceded in death by parents, his brother Lauren, his first wife Loretta Richter Miller, and his grandson James Christopher Blakey. He is survived by his wife Phyllis L. Miller, daughter Lori Blakey, son Mark Miller and wife Cathy Miller, son Todd Miller and wife Yvonne Miller, granddaughters Kristin Blakey and Danielle Tackoor and grandson Cliff Miller. Hugo's family wishe s to thank our friends for their gifts, cards, telephone calls, and support during Hugo's illness and death. Following Hugo's wishes a family service will be held to scatter his ashes at sea. "He was a good man"
