We were so touched to be able to view the Celebration of Life service for John. Our long friendship with the Cushmans began when Ginny was Jim's 6th grade teacher. One of our fondest memories is the time Ginny and John hosted us for the incredible Tournament of Roses Parade. From Texas, we send love and peace to Ginny and family and community. Your legacy will live on in the stories you shared and are retold by those fortunate enough to hear them. Thank you for being a consistent voice for a life that is happy, joyous, and free. You will be missed but not forgotten.

Rest in peace John.
I met John briefly in the late seventies on a visit to Australia.
John and Ginny were in Australia to pick up their son Tom who had spent a few years in our local school.
I traveled to America in in early nineties and when I was in LA John and Ginny invited me to stay at their house while I was travelling.
Since social media John and I connected and chatted, messaged often
It´s funny how some people come very unexpected into our lives and leave a wonderful impression.
Sending love to to the Cushman family.
As we say in Australia
John was a ripper.
