All of us who ever had the great fortune to know Joe, were the ones that were truly blessed. He was such a gentleman in every way. Joe & Juel showed us the way a marriage should be. We will miss him, his smile & those dancing feet. Rest well dear man, the world was so much better with you in it.

Joe was a great guy and great fire man. May his soul rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.
The Good Lord must have needed a good fireman in heaven.

I've known Joe since 1936 when we were in the 4th grade at Saint Andrews School in Pasadena. Joe was an outstanding person from those early days - always looked up to and respected. We went thru High school at Cathedral in Los Angeles. In 1945, Joe joined the Navy and I joined the Marines. In the 1945 Cathedral year book, It was said that Joseph Rommelfanger was a "Gentleman." I think that testimony is remarkable, considering it was voiced by 17 & 18 year old "boys." In all the years I knew Joe, I never heard his mouth issue a vile or angry word. A truly remarkable man.
My job involved flying about the world, but when I came to Pasadena, I tried to visit Joe and Juel. It was uplifting for me to talk with them. After retirement, we corresponded at Christmas time - certainly not enough on my part, but I wanted to stay in touch with this remarkable man, to let him know that I respected him. The ideals of a Christian Gentleman were in his DNA.
I'm sure that the Lord Jesus is taking good care of Joe and showing him around his new home.
May God continue to Bless and comfort Joe's wife and family.
Joe, I'll be seeing you.
