Phyllis Dahl Obituary

DAHL-Phyllis Berndes Dahl, passed away February 11, 2010 in Copenhagen Denmark. Phyllis was born August 23, 1952 in Los Angeles, California and lived all of her adult life in Denmark where she raised two wonderful children, Andrew and Sarah. Phyllis graduated from John Muir High School and Pasadena City College. After her marriage, she went to live in Denmark where she worked for over 20 years for the World Health Organization. She helped develop and was Administrator for many years of the WHO European Observatory onHealth Care Systems. At the time of her death, she was compiling for WHO the best European healthcare practice information. Phyllis had many wonderful friends and was surrounded by them and her children at the time of her death

I am so sad to learn of Phyllis passing-she was a beautiful person in both body and spirit and a great classmate in high school. I am so happy to read about the caring and fulfilling life she led-thank you for sharing.

My thoughts will be with you today and wish that I could there with you.. Phyllis and I met in Pasadena in 1966 and both decided to stay and live in Denmark after a wonderful visit. Phyllis was a wonderful wonderful friend and I miss her every single day. I am so grateful for having had her in my life. Dorte
