Richard Dootson Obituary

In Loving Memory of RICHARD F. DOOTSON Richard F. "Dick" Dootson of Bradbury, passed away unexpectedly May 24, 2005. A young 79, Dick enjoyed life. He was a graduate of the University of Washington, and got a business degree from USC. Always an entrepreneur, Dick founded, Dootson Driving School in 1951, Dootson School of Trucking and Dootson Investment Company working quite actively until the day of his death. More importantly, Dick gave much time to his family and helping numerous organizations in the surrounding communities. To help in this effort, he had also been a Past President and active member of the Kiwanis Club of Monrovia for many years. Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; sons, John & James Dootson; daughter, Terri Fabeck & Deborah Logan, and 10 grandchildren. will be dearly missed by so many lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, in his memory contributions may be made to: The Parkinson's Institute, 1170 Morse Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1605. A time of visitation & remembrance will be held 4-7 PM on Friday, May 27th at the Douglass & Zook Mortuary Chapel in Monrovia (626-358-3244). Private family services to be held at a later date.
