Timothy Palmer Obituary
Timothy Palmer, 69 of Sierra Madre, passed away Monday, February 15th. Born and raised in Pasadena California to Leslie and Katherine (Marshall) Palmer, Tim attended San Rafael Elementary, McKinley Junior High, and graduated in 1965 from John Muir High School. He was a student at Pasadena City College before transferring to University of Southern California, where he graduated in 1969. An avid traveler, Tim spent a few years traveling Europe and Africa before attending graduate school at Thunderbird School in Prescott, Arizona studying International Business. After graduate school, Tim backpacked through South America. Through the years he lived a very active life enjoying backpacking in the Sierras, road trips across the country, and most of all summers in Catalina aboard his Cal 40 boat Kumu. Tim is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ann Chambers Palmer, his daughter Laura, son Scott, future daughter-in-law Sunny Colvey, and many friends across the globe. A memorial service to celebrate Tim's life will be Saturday, February 20th at 11am at Pasadena Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow at the Pasadena Masonic Temple. To Annie, Laura and Scott, we send our love and we hold fond memories of Tim. He helped us all live a more interesting life with his love of travel and his talent for story telling. Tim loved his family - and his friends and he will be remembered by us all always.

The Tomlinson family sends our deepest condolences during this so very sad time. Tim was a true free spirit who was devoted to his family. We feel your loss in our bones. We are truly disappointed that we will miss Tim's memorial service. Love to you all, and please know that you remain in our thoughts minute to minute.

Dear Ann,
My heart is aching for you and we are deeply saddened for your family. We will always remember Tim as the adventurous, friendly husband of my friend, Ann - from High Point Academy days to boat side chats in Catalina. I love you, Ann, and will cherish these memories of Tim.
