Brian Novine Obituary

RACINE - Brian Scott Novine, age 59, Went out from this life early Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints Campus. Brian Scott Novine was born September 7, 1952, to Richard Bruce and Virginia Angeline (nee: Arena) Novine. He grew up in Racine and attended Park High School. Brian touched many lives, and pursued many experiences. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, all of nature (especially the sun), biking, running, walking, yoga, music, films, art books, comedy, and things spiritual and practical. He was an avid student of human behavior, earning a bachelors degree in psychology beginning at U.W. Oshkosh, and completing at U.W. Parkside. Brian also studied anthropology and archeology, and participated in archeological digs. He spent time in New York and also lived in Florida, working in the area of Human Services. Brian most recently studied acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine. Brian was very intuitive and able to consider the whole person. He helped many people with natural and herbal remedies for their health issues, which he found great enjoyment and purpose in doing so. Brian provided care for his beloved mother Virginia, and used his knowledge to help her. He was admired and respected for his servant’s heart. Brian helped his family and friends however he could, and his memory will be forever cherished and forever missed. He is survived by his loving family, daughter; Robin Brown, grandson; Joeseph Brown, mother; Virginia Novine, brothers; Bruce (Sandy) Novine and Allan Novine, sister; Jean (Brian) Edwards, nieces; Rachel (Isaiah) Thompkins, Lisa (Justin) Harris, Baylee (Ryan) Paul, Bliss Novine, Bria Novine, Rebecca Edwards, nephews; Weston Novine and Tristan Novine, great-nieces; Leah, Jada, Anna and Gabrielle Thompkins, Lauren and Nicolette Edwards. Brian was preceded in death by his father, and nephew Jeremy Allan Novine. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011, 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship of Christian Believers Church, 703 Washington Avenue, Racine Visitation will take place Saturday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Virginia and Family,
