Steve, Mike & Doug, I can't tell you how much we loved being with your dad, and your mom, too. I'll never forget all those bridge games we "forced" on your dad, and he made us laugh so hard, acting like we were torturing him, but having such fun. Our mom, Annetta, loved being with them, too. They took such good care of her. Please know that we're thinking of you and join in your sadness over the loss of Ronnie. Love, Janet Shumway Keltner (Half Moon Bay) and Bob & Bev Shumway (Redmond, Oregon)

steve, doug, mike,
your dad was my "older "brother." when we moved to riverside in 1947, he took care of me and his buddies at poly looked out for me as well. after we moved away, we called each other every time we had a new joke or just wanted to chat each other up. we really enjoyed each other. a real loss.

Steve,Mike, Doug: I am so sad to hear about Uncle Ronny......but glad that you got to have him so long. Kim and I will never forget the week we spent with Ronny and Mickey a few years back. Ronny was so much fun! He scared the heck out of us on the ride back from the airport. But he was such a fun person to be around. I know your hearts are breaking now, and I am sorry for that...Sandi Campbell (Audrey's kid):)

To The Shumway Brotherhood...
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal" -Old Irish Proverb
A favorite memory of your Dad is; as we all laughed hysterically watching your "supercharged" turtle try to go sideways thru the brick flower beds in your backyard, your Dad came out his den "looking stern" and then exploded into laughter with us when he saw the turtle.
Our hearts are with you!

Steve, Michael, Doug. I got sad when I read this. Then I thought about going to Dodger games with you guys and your dad in the mustang. Then I got a smile on my face because I thought about watching Saturday morning cartoons with a stomach full of pancakes that your mom made. Your dad laughing at Roadrunner cartoons with us. I miss you guys.
