Lillie Bell Johnson-Burch

Lillie Bell Johnson-Burch was born on August 4, 1928, in Florence, South Carolina to the late Arthur and Idella Johnson. She was educated in Florence, S. C. and graduated from Wilson High School. In November 1947, Lil, as she was affectionately known, married Albert (Skip) Burch in Florence, S. C. In 1954, they came to Chester, Pennsylvania. She worked at Chester Hospital and then Strawbridge &Clothier until she retired in 1996. She also worked at Bethany Day Care. Lil was a faithful and dedicated member of the Senior Ushers, head of the Helping Hands Ministsry, Mass Choir, Missionary Ministry and the noon Day Bible Study. Lil was preceded in death by her husband, Albert (Skip) Burch; parents, Arthur and Idella Johnson; siblings, Rose Mae Thomas, Annie Mae (Knute) Johnson, Idella (Nunkey) Richardson, and Arthur (Brother) Johnson, Jr.; She leaves to cherish her memory, children Allen Johnson and Donna M. Harrington; grandchildren Aaren (Renee) Johnson, Anitra Johnson, Amber Johnson, Derrick (Chloe) Johnson; great grandchildren Jackson Morris, Zhyon Johnson, Bryne Johnson; three God sent daughters Dr. Karyn Briggs, Tina Coleman, Denise Cunningham; godson Richard (Porkie) Gibbs; her besties Helen Riley, Justina Moore, Jessie Powell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The precious word is MOTHER-she was my world girlfriend, road dog you see; but now my heart is breaking, cause she's no longer here with me. God chose her for His angel to watch me from above-to guide me and advise me and know that's I'm still loved.
