James Gibson Obituary

James Roger Gibson, born on December 19, 1971, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2025, in Pendleton, Indiana. His sudden departure has left a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him.

With a career dedicated to machine maintenance, James spent many years honing his skills and contributing to the industry with great expertise. His work ethic was matched only by his passion for what he did, which earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

James was known not only for his professional dedication but also for his vibrant personality. He was a giving, generous, and outgoing individual, qualities that endeared him to everyone he encountered. His ability to connect with people made a lasting impression in both social and professional settings.

A lover of life, James had a profound passion for Harley Davidsons and the freedom that comes with riding motorcycles. He found joy in the open road and the thrill of adventure. Moreover, he was an avid guitarist, with music serving as a beloved pastime that he enjoyed deeply. His love for family was evident in all that he did; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, prioritizing those relationships above all else.

James is survived by his son Gunner James Gibson; mother Cindy Gibson-Bankson; brother William Gibson (Bobbi); nephews Will Gibson, James Gibson, and Cole Gibson; niece Lydia Gibson; special friends Danny Brown, Lisa Arnett, and Brady Wood; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his dad Roger Gibson and both sets of grandparents.

Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

James Roger Gibson leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and camaraderie. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we remember him, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the enduring impact he had on those around him.
