Wanda Lineberry Obituary

Wanda Kay Lineberry, 85, of Pendleton, is set to be celebrated and remembered on a bittersweet day-February 24, 2025, which was also her birthday. Wanda was born on February 24, 1940, to Edward Bowen Hallowell and Goldie Mae (Shull) Hallowell.

She married her best friend, David Lineberry, on April 2, 1966, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and an endless supply of delicious desserts made by Wanda herself. She earned her bachelor's degree from Anderson University and master's degree from Ball State University in education and dedicated many years to teaching at Anderson Community Schools before retiring.

Family and friends, especially her retired teacher colleagues, will remember Wanda as a nurturing and caring soul. She had a knack for bringing people together around the dinner table, always ready with their favorite meals. Wanda also enjoyed watching birds, tending to her flower garden, and sharing her beloved treats. In the last twenty five years she was happiest being present in her grandchildrens lives, supporting them in any activity or event they were involved with.

Wanda is survived by her husband, David Lineberry; Daughter, Cheryl (spouse, Matthew) Likens; Grandchildren Abigail Lohman, Riley Lohman, Taylor (spouse, Jeric) Tumang, Shelby (spouse, Walter) DeDoncker, and Madison Likens; Brother-in-law Russell Lineberry, She is also survived by five nieces and five nephews (one deceased).

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, David and George Hallowell.
