Linda Hordemann Obituary

Lifelong Alaskan, Linda Kay (Reynolds) Hordemann, 57, entered her heavenly home Sept. 24, 2014, where she was greeted with open arms by her parents Clyde Willis and Doris Jane Reynolds and many other family members that awaited her arrival.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Soldotna Church of God. Pastor Alan Humphries will officiate. She will be laid to rest at the Soldotna Community Memorial Park. A celebration of life potluck will follow at the Alaska Roadhouse.
Linda was born Nov. 5, 1956 in Battle Ground, Wash. She raised two children James Lee Musgrove and Lydia Dee Reynolds. She married Mark Hordemann, the love of her life, on Apr. 21, 2002, who has three children, Trevor, David and Candace. This was the most beautiful union any woman could have ever asked for. These two families became one.
Linda was an amazing soul, who had gracious kindness, a beautiful heart and was most importantly the strength of our family. She was very passionate when it came to something or someone she believed in. She was active in politics and proud Republican. In 2000, she ran for Representative for District 9. Anyone who ever listened to Sound Off heard her voice. She loved horses and horseback riding, by herself and with family. She adored spending quality time with family and friends. She laughed, loved and blessed us with her kindness, grace and dignity.
Linda was from a family of 11 children, eight girls and three boys and their spouses. They are Sandy and Pete Pevan, Michael and Barbara Reynolds, Lana and Kale Kuivikko, Kathy Reynolds, Lance and Debbie Reynolds, Carolyn and Brett Reid, Theresa and Gary Hansen, Scott and Amanda Reynolds, Laura and Ernie Pruette and Tracy and Ron Palm. Linda loved talking about growing up with this huge family and how special it was to her. She would always say, we always had our own baseball team, soccer team, babysitter, and most importantly, best friends. We always had each other. We were not allowed to have other friends as our parents would say we have given you 10 brothers and sisters, isn't that enough? But we knew the truth, they didn't want to feed any more kids.
Linda so loved her grandchildren. Trevor and Frances gave her, KC Graham Hordemann, Lydia and Norris gave her Corbin James Reynolds, Candace and Steve gave her James Maurice Haugstad, and James and Stephanie gave her Landon Willis Musgrove.
Linda was the most special auntie any niece or nephew could have ever had. She was always there for each and every one of them, whenever they needed her opinion, wisdom or kindness. They include, Robert, Richard and Tamara Pevan, Rachael, Andrew and Sara Reynolds, Sandra Goode, Tara Kuivikko, Julie Anderson, Luke Reynolds, Christine Cunningham, Katherine Uie, Elizabeth Giver, Mary Hamby, Jebadiah, Adam and Jason McCloud, Kerri Elliott, Clyde Reynolds II, Melissa Williams, Eric and Megan Pruett, Tiffany Palm and Courtney Paramore. She was also a great-auntie to 40 blessed children of the Reynolds clan.
Rest in Peace Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Auntie and Grandmother.
