Lisa Marie Martin

1972 - 2025

Lisa Marie Martin, 53, of the Kenai, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at 1:13 a.m. after a courageous battle with Stage IV Melanoma. She was born on March 18, 1972, at Central Peninsula Hospital.

Lisa was raised in the Mormon faith and carried the values of kindness, service, and family with her throughout her life. She pursued her passion for caring for children by earning her education in Early Childhood Education, which became the foundation of her life's work.

She is survived by her beloved children, Catherine, Maxwell, Alexander, and Aiden Martin; and her sister, Michelle Rochon. She was preceded in death by her younger brother, David Rochon, and her mother, Marilyn Rochon.

Lisa was deeply cherished by her friends, family, and the community she served. For many years, she cared for children in the Kenai and Soldotna area, providing comfort and guidance both in her home and in the homes of others. Her kindness, selflessness, and tireless dedication touched countless lives.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her four children, who were the center of her world. Outside of her work and family, Lisa loved crafting, trout fishing, and walking along the beach, simple pleasures that reflected her appreciation for life's beauty.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kenai. A potluck gathering will immediately follow the service, and all who knew and loved Lisa are welcome to attend.
Lisa will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
