Steven Curtiss Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Kenai United Methodist Church, across the Spur Highway from Wells Fargo Bank. A pot luck will follow the service.
Mr. Curtiss was born on Nov. 22, 1978, to Robert Lynn Kolb and Beverly Lynn Curtiss of Twin Falls, Idaho. He moved to Alaska two years later.
His passions in life were chain saw carving and playing pool. He loved fishing, hunting, and hanging out with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His favorite Bible passage was Philippians 4:13: ""I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.""
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his 4 month old baby girl, Alexandra Lynn Curtiss from Rhome, Texas; companion Apryl Callison, also from Rhome; mother, Beverly (Curtiss) VanDenberg of Kenai; father, Robert Kolb of Twin Falls, Idaho; brothers, Michael (River) Price of Friendswood, Texas, Nicholas Price of Haslett, Texas and William Price of Newark, Texas; grandfather, Ervin E. Curtiss of Kenai; grandmother, Donna Hlavka of Wamic, Ore.; aunt, Shelly Curtiss of Kenai; uncles, Kelly and Dale Curtiss of Kenai; lots of cousins and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, a fund to benefit his daughter has been established at Wells Fargo Bank, in care of Steve Curtiss, account No. 3319056655.

For you bro wish I was with you. It wasn't long enough. It went by way to fast. I still can't accept it. But ill do my best. I love you bro miss you everyday. I hope soon we will be hanging out again buddy. Till then watch over everybody and keep them safe. I'll see you soon.

A grandson, a son, a brother, a father and my friend you will never be forgotten. You really were a man of legend, a Paul Bunyan! So to speak. It sadden's me that you left us so soon, but I am grateful that you had a wonderful life filled with many people who loved you dearly while you did the things you loved doing. I am missing you so very much my wonderful friend. Heaven gained an amazing angel. Those that are still awaiting to join you have been blessed to know you and will cherish all of our memories that you gave us. Thoughts and prayers with your family with my condolences plus many that asked me to give theirs because everyone you met thought you were a wonderful person and are sad about your departure to Heaven.
