William Oliphint Obituary

William "Bill" Oliphint II, 73, passed peacefully on November 27, 2022, in Soldotna, Alaska, surrounded by the people he loved.

Bill was born on Tuesday August 2, 1949, in Detroit Michigan to William and Helen (Toth) Oliphint. He attended college at Central Michigan University, graduating with his Associate Degree.
Bill lived in Houghton Lake, Michigan, and Columbus, Montana before settling in Soldotna, Alaska in 2002. Bill worked as a Lumberjack, Timber buyer, Fly Fishing and Fishing Guide in Michigan and Montana before moving to Alaska for work in the Bristol Bay area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always with a "hey kiddo" and a smile for all he met.

William is preceded in death by his parents: William "Bill" Oliphint Sr. and Helen "Toth" Oliphint.
He is survived by his brother, Timothy "Tim" Michael Oliphint of Milford, MI; niece, Crystal Oliphint of Michigan; nephews, Michael Oliphint, William "Billy" Oliphint, and Daniel Oliphint of Michigan; extended Alaskan family, Jim and Robbie Redmon, Jimmy, Dawn (Cullen) Elaina (Ryder) Billy, Louis, Hailey, James, Jordan, Katelynn, Anaulie, Amanda, Raleigh, Willow; and special friends Nelson Raber and Leona Thomas of Alaska; and many friends from Michigan, Montana, and Alaska to include Cliff and Debbie, Jan, Barry, Dell, Bob, the Terry's, Kevin, the Music Box, Long Branch, North Shore, and Northway. He will be missed by all.
