Anna Oliphint Obituary

Anna Jeanette James Oliphint, 78, passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord on December 19, 2021. Anna was born to Lomax and Eunice James on November 13, 1943 in Austin, Texas.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard Payne University in 1966 and a Master of Education degree from Southwest Texas State in 1972. Anna taught physical education for more than 30 years. She had a passion for teaching at elementary schools in Austin, Palestine and Bertram. In 1965, Anna married the love of her life, Albert William Oliphint. Anna and Al remained best of friends and partners for 56 years. Anna and Al had two children, William and Daniel. In 1984, the family moved to Liberty Hill, Texas where they raised hay and cows. Anna and Al loved to travel. Together they saw Scotland, Japan, Alaska, and a great deal of the U.S. Anna was a longtime member and avid supporter of Capstone Baptist Church in Liberty Hill and The Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Anna is preceded in death by her father, Lomax James; mother, Eunice James; brother Winzlow James; and sisters Mollie Krueger, Betty Eggling, and Bobby James Walker. She is survived by her husband, Al Oliphint; son, William Oliphint and daughter-in-law Joy Oliphint; son, Daniel Oliphint and daughter-in-law Brandy Oliphint; and grandchildren Zoe Oliphint, Taylor Oliphint, Dylan Oliphint, Charlie Oliphint, Braeden Oliphint & Ryan Oliphint. Anna will be missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Operation Liberty Hill on the behalf of Anna J. Oliphint.
A visitation for Anna will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Following will be the committal at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.

Anna was a special lady, and we will truly miss her. We loved our time with she and Al, whether we were traveling together or just having a fun dinner. Our prayers and support go out to Al and her family.
