I would like to extend my condolences to the family and the staff at Benboe's Funeral Home. I worked with Mr. Benboe in past years as a representative of the Bureau of Vital Statistics. As a novice in the field program, Mr. Benboe helped me understand the funeral director's side of the business. He was a gracious gentleman, world class in every way. The profession has lost a compassionate man and the fmaily has lost a source of strength, love, and courage.

Here is an original poem, dedicated to a great man.
"I Do It Because It IS Me"

"I did what I did simply because it was me; for a life of service often comes with no glee. I did not seek medals, acclaim or accolades, because it would have served no purpose for me to be the center of a parade. I was taught as a boy to do as Christ would do: to serve my fellow man through and through. I preferred the quiet spirit of gentleness, never one to try to impress for I refused to wear pride upon my chest. Each day that I lived was a life of gratitude: for the love of family and friends to always put me in a good mood. I know it will be a little strange not seeing me conducting business on a daily basis, seeing me all over town in a million places. To me work was an extension of my life; to work to the best of my ability and do it just right. All the years of my service will certainly speak volumes you see, but you will never hear me toot my own horn because that was just not me. For I have been promoted to serve in my Heavenly home. And no my friend I am certainly not alone. My new job is to help spread joy in paradise, I am wearing a brand new tailor made suit and yes it is very nice. Looking dapper as can be, I still remain humble just as you remember me. I have spent many days comforting thousands in their hour of need, but all my efforts, have planted a seed. With the bountiful harvest I shall expect, I look forward to stand before my God and saying telling him I did my best".
Thank you Mr. Benboe for all that you did for my family, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the entire Pensacola community. You will certainly be missed.

It is with great sadness that my family extends condolences to the Benboe Family. Dan was a friend to everyone. There was always a smile for me and my family when we encountered Dan Benboe. My mother and father had such great regard for Dan as they did for Ms Inez and for "CAP". There was never a harsh for any of the Benboe Family. Dan carried on that respect. I say to the Benboe Family, you are in our thoughts and in our hearts. May God Bless and Keep you.
