This note serves to express and document my sincere condolences to the Family of Brother Earl J. Crosswright.

Life, via the noble ranks of Alpha Phi Alpha (1906), afforded me the privilege to observe him at a distance. I thought Brother Crosswright to be a distinguish fraternity brother of stature and integrity, who loved his family dearly, especially, his son Earl. May the sustaining spirit of genuine concern and love help to bring additional comfort and light to each of you in the days ahead.

Sincerely,

The Black Pride of Alpha Phi Alpha !!!

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
Even though words can't take away the sorry that you are feeling, I hope you find serenity in knowing that your care, love ane courage meant so much to the one you loved and that somehow, in some small way, that makes a difference and brings you peace. May it also be a source of inner strength to know that there's a loving God watching over you, and that, throughout this time of need, He'll stay close by your side.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I'll never forget how comforting he was to Mom and family (Florence Crosswright Ausler) during the loss of Uncle Al in Denver (2000). He was so helpful and understanding that one of my siblings asked to call him Uncle Earl. However, he understood when I said that it was not something I could do having just buried my last Uncle. He was Cousin Earl, with much respect.
With Love, Prayers, and Concern.

"Give Honor to whom Honor is Due". This was the first Scripture that came to mind as I thought about Mr. Crosswright and makes it easy for me to say how much he has impacted my life. He wa always a man of Principle and this never changed, from the time I met him when my mother taught at deVaughn in the late 60's, to the last time I saw he and Mrs. Crosswright or talked together on the phone. I believe that Relationships go through many different and distinct stages over time. Ours had evolved from one of Competition, to Tolerance, to Love and I can truly say He Was My Friend. May the Lord God Bless the Crosswright, Hall, Flood and Steen families. May The Peace of God guard your hearts and minds. May the Loving and Lasting Memories of this Great Man be ever in your hearts and before your eyes and his voice always be a reminder of the Love and Wisdom that he has passed on to you and the many others within our community who's lives he has impacted.
