Glenn Sizemore Obituary

Glenn E. Sizemore

"Paw Paw"

1935-2014

Glenn completed life's earthly journey on September 18, 2014. His faith was based on the word of God and is now reality. He has entered into heaven's eternal rest.

Glenn was a native of Atlanta, Georgia but spent most of his adult life in Pensacola, Florida. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1954-1960. His work history included Director of Data Processing at Regional Medical Laboratory and a Computer Specialist for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) retiring in 1996.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy; daughter, Melonie K. Fox (Robert), and son, Greg Sizemore (Janet); four grandchildren who were the pride of his life, Rebekah Fox, Bobby Fox (Brooke), Holly Pierce (Nathan), and Garrett Sizemore (Katie); seven great grandchildren, Aubrey and Sheridan Pierce, Samuel, Lydia Grace, Jacob and Isaiah Fox and Kaydence Sizemore. Glenn believed his family was a great blessing and his heritage.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home South is entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 23rd from 10am to 11am, Funeral Service 11am to 12am, with burial at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Marc Seymour, Craig Seymour, Brian Nellums, Jack Coppenger, Rob Watson, Eric Watson, Clayton Sizemore, and Preston McGhee

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Covenant Hospice of Northwest Florida or the Gideon's International.

Judy, very seldom do I read the PNJ obits, but felt I should today and saw Glen's obituary. I know that you have a sorrow in your heart, but you are also rejoicing because you know that you will see him again one day soon and that he is in no pain because he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I only wish I could be there with you, but my prayers will be with you. Glen was a wonderful man and you have many blessed memories. Take care of yourself dear friend. Much love to you.

Judy, words cannot express how I felt about Glen. Every time I see the garage door open I will think of him and all of the wonderful visits we had there. I loved him and I love you. I know our God will give you strength to get through this time of sorrow. Your friend & neighbor, Sue Keeney PS: Jacob said he loved him and will miss him. He sends love to you as well.

So sorry to hear of Glenn's passing. He and I worked together at DFAS. He was such a nice easy going person who really enjoyed my mother's banana pudding. He will be missed.

When I say Glenn Sizemore, I smile. He had a great big charming manner about him. Maybe it's because I loved you both. My prayers will be with you. Love and prayers, Myrtice.
