Jimmy Reaves Obituary
1943 - 2016
Jimmy Ray Reaves, age 73, went to heaven on July 11, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Pensacola, FL on January 29, 1943.
He served in the United States Air Force and upon leaving the armed forces, started his own business. After successfully running his own business for over 30 years, he joined the family business at ESA South, Inc., where he assisted with construction management.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshal and Myrtle Reaves; brother, John Reaves; and sister, Jeanette Dukes.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra; children, Michele (Danny) Brandgard, Patti (Sean) Harmon, Kimberly (Paul) Butler, Jimmy Reaves, Sherri Mason, and Tiffani Reaves. Jimmy is also survived by his sisters, Marina Johnson and Evelyn (Billy) Wilson; brother, Butch Reaves; sisters-in-law, Duana Reaves, Trudy (Dan) Clark, Judy Dionisio, and Debbie Fette. Also left to cherish his memory are 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Special acknowledgement to his lifelong friend, Ronnie Robinson.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Baywoods Assembly of God, 1608 Woodchuck Ave. Interment will follow at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery. Trahan Family Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baywoods Assembly of God, Boys & Girls Mission Fund.
