Larry Kennon Obituary

Untitled LARRY ANGUS KENNON

Mr. Kennon, age 58, died on May 1, 2009, in Southfield, MI. "Cat", as he was affectionately known, was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1969. After graduation, Larry left Pensacola and moved to Cleveland, OH, where he lived for a brief time.
Larry moved on to Detroit, MI, where he spent the rest of his life. Upon moving to Detroit, MI, Larry accepted employment with the Dahmer Chrysler Corperation where he was a devoted employee for 33 years. He retired in 2004. Larry took pride in knowing how to "retire" from the work force and enjoy life after retirement.
Larry, a devoted brother that showed much love for his sisters, Barbara and Carol, was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Mae Kennon.
Loving memories of Larry will be cherished by his loving son, Lawrence Marquise Kennon of Detroit, MI; sisters, Barbara (Michael) Johnson of Pensacola and Carol (Laurent) Heard of Pensacola; aunt, Lena Mae Chappell of Pensacola; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at Joe Morris on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
