Lisa Renee Hicks Nettles, the daughter of Fred N. Hicks and Mary (Ranaldson) Hicks went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2011. A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1987. Lisa was a cosmetologist working at Trendsetters as a hair stylist.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Michael Nettles and her son, Bryon A. Hicks, three stepchildren, Ieshia, Michael Jr. and Michala Nettles, her Mother and Father, Mary and Fred Hicks, sister and brother, Felecia Fountain and Daryl Henderson, Mother and Father-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Albert and Addie Lyle, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive family and friends Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment.
Viewing on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM, funeral service at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Warrington, Florida with Rev. James Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Sunnenberg and his staff and all acts of kindness shown by Sacred Heart doctors and staff during the illness and homegoing of our love one.

Lisa was a special little girl to me and well thought of by my parents, Mr & Mrs Bennett and although I've been gone for awhile (13 years) I will always remember that bright & pretty child I used to babysit when I was a teenager!
My mother tells me she grew into a beautiful young lady and was her hairstylist for many years. I'm so sad to hear of her passing and this guest book is a wonderful tribute to her life, her child and the parents who raised her to be the fine young woman that she was. I am so glad to have been able to share my thoughts about Lisa with you. Your family will be in my heart and my prayers and please, if you like, keep in touch with me. I have only the fondest memories of you both and if you decide to take a vacation, I have a B&B guesthouse and run a tour service here in Senegal.

Looking at Lisa's picture tells me she had a wonderful life and was fighting until the end. It's ok. You exceeded all expectations Mr & Mrs Hicks, you've done well. VERY VERY WELL and she's had a wonderful life and a beautiful child. You are still blessed by God and prayed for by all of the people who have also sent and given their condolences in person.
