Aunt Emma and Family we were just informed of "Uncle's" homegoing. During our short time together, Uncle was such an inspiration to us. We wish we had more time together, however, we are thankful for the short time we were given. Uncle will be missed and our prayers are with you...

We were sorry to hear about the passing of such an exceptional man as Walter Lambert. Walter's sincere desire to help people, his strong Christian beliefs were obvious to anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him and sharing many convesations with him on his love of life and the many people he loved. God saw Granddad was getting tired and cure was not to be. So, God put His arms around Granddad and whispered,"come with me." With tear-filled eyes we watched him suffer and fade away. Although we loved him deeply we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest. When God took my Granddad He took the best!

I will always love you, Granddad,

HIS JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN

Dont' think of him as gone away
His journey just begun.
LIfe holds so many facets
This life is only one.
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how he must be whishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched
For nothing love is ever lost
And he was loved so much

Emma,Rhonda and sons,
I do not usually willingly get up in front of strangers and talk, ever, but I was compelled to do so last night,I wanted you all to know how much impact your husband, father, had on my life.He was like a grandpa to me,I never knew any of my grandparents,I trusted every word he said,I leaned on him for support, and oh,how I will miss his big bear hugs.Your grandaughter, came up to me and said"thank you for saying such nice things about my grandpa",what a beautiful little girl,I see Walter in her eyes.I feel much stronger today,I know he would not want me to be so sad,he toldme to be strong fo rhim when I visited him in your home 2 weeks ago.I will be.I will check on your family in a few days.Love to all.Maria Prusa

I am sorry to hear of Walter's passing. He was a good friend and stalwart advocate and it was in the context of advocate and educator that I knew him well. Those of us left behind will remember the kindnesses, generosity of spirit and hope that he conveyed to others. Walter will always be with us because he touched our lives in important ways. God bless his family.

Emma & Rhonda; It was such a joy knowing Walter. He was always willing to go the extra mile for those he care about and that seemed to encompass everyone. I don't think that he ever met a stranger. He was also a very gracious man and I am pround that he called me his friend. I will miss Family to Family Classes with him for he was a compassionate and gifted teacher. Walter is watching over us all now as we sing, cry and laugh with all of our wonderful memories of him.

Walter, you said you'd try to send me a sign that you are up there with my deceased son and my deceased brother ,I'll be looking. There will forever be a void, you touched my life so much,There is a definite crack in my heart,I'm trying to be strong like you told me to be but it is hard.I have peace in knowing your with God doing work for him up there,so many people still needed you but maybe God needed you more and the fact that he took you on "All Saints Day",makes it a little easier, because to me,you were a Saint.
