William "Bill" Lavon Abercrombie passed away on February 10th, 2016. He went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 66.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Abercrombie; and his father, Henry Lavon Abercrombie.

Bill married his loving wife, Debra, in Pensacola, FL on October 18th, 1980. They were married 35 years.

Bill is survived by Debra; his sons, Jeff (Julie), Lavon (Amanda), and Chris (Andrea); 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his sister, Lynda (Rick) Barker; his family and friends; and his beloved bulldog, Princess.

Bill was born in Chattanooga, TN on August 28th, 1949. He graduated from Escambia High School and attended Troy University. He served in the United States Army, was a GM service manager, a steel worker, a surveyor, owner and operator of Abercrombie Construction, and an insurance adjuster.

Bill enjoyed coaching and umpiring baseball, piloting, shooting, home improvement projects, and auto repair. He was an active member and Worship Leader at Warrington Worship Center. Most of all, Bill loved helping others in whatever capacity he could.

Funeral services will be held at Warrington Worship Center (398 N Navy Blvd, 32507) on Monday, February 15th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Joiner officiating. Interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery (1 Cemetery Rd, 32508) at 12:30 p.m.

The visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South on Sunday, February 14th.
