Dear Kelly and Cameron,
My family just heard the news tonight of Winston's death. We are shocked and saddend by it. We have wonderful memories of our time in Lauderdale with you all at the Caribe years ago. We still talk about them. Mark tells the story of Winston taking him out in the ocean to snorkel. He thought he would be out there 30 minutes or so, and 3 hours plus later he comes out of the water!!! That Winston sure loved the ocean!! Our hearts and prayers go out to you during this time. "God is your refuge and strength and underneath are his everlasting arms" Deuteronomy 33:27
Words can not express how sorry we are. I know he will be greatly missed. He sure was proud of you. I can still see him eating conch fritters at Aruba. I wish we could have seen you these last few years. Mary Ryan has grown up so much, as I know Cameron has too. Come to the Caribe after Christmas or next July. We will be there. If you need to get away before then, you could always make a trip to Tennessee.
Our love and sympathy,
Kari and Mark Rassas and children, (Allen, Tyler, Thomas, Lee, and Mary Ryan)

Robert and the Garth Family,
I met Robert during Ivan, who brought me into the world of Garth. I recall Winston sun bathing in your Navy Point front yard which often included long hours of sleep in the blazing sun and a real good sunburn the next day last summer. I know its a challenge to move forward without the brotherly banter and ease of familiarity. My heart goes out to you all with sincere condolences.

I dont even know where to start...my fondest memories of Winston was just about every 4th of July, we would be over at his house and he would always help us make fires so that we could have hot dogs cooked over the fire. =D
i also remember that one of his favorite movies was PRINCESS DIARIES, and he would always make this amazing chicken for Cameron, me, and Jake. Cameron is like my little brother [even though he's sooo much taller than me] i love that kiddo to death and i hate that he had to go through this, him and Kelly both. I love you Kelly and you 2 Cameron, and if there's anything you guys ever need, you know that me and my family will always be RIGHT HERE.
You guys are as much part of my family as the rest of the little punks in my house. I love you guys and will be here to keep you strong...and make sure that you guys try your hardest to keep your heads up ALWAYS. and remember: EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE OK, BECAUSE TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY, AND EVN IF YOUR HEARTS BREAK...IT'S GOING TO BE A NEW DAY. --WINSTONS GOD DAUGHTER RHEANNEN.

Although I only knew of Winston through Kelly I have grown to realize what a wonderful human being he was. She spoke so highly of him, not of his education, his assets, but of the dear person he was to her and how much she loved him and most of all how much he loved Cameron. I wish both Cameron and Kelly the best at this most difficult time. I believe that God had a bigger purpose for him than some may understand. Be strong Kelly for Cameron, no matter what hurdles you encounter. You can do it, God is on your side. I love you both.

I just found out of the sad loss of Winston and am so broken hearted. Kelly and Cameron my prayers go out to you and my deepest sympathy at this tragic time. Cameron, your dad spoke so fondly of you to me and how much he loved you. Your mother was very special to him as well. I wish that there was something I could say to make things better but I only know that your father loved you both dearly. Many people that knew your father knew how true this was. There was no greater love than his love for you Cameron and your mom. No matter how unfair life may seem at this time please remember that your father would want the two of you to conquer all of the obstacles ahead of you together. Material things don't really matter to those of us who have had real love like you have had with your father and you Kelly with Winston. God will take care of you and see to it that all your needs are met regardless of others. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I love you both.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Garth family. I'm so sorry about everyone's loss, especially Cameron's. Though I didn't have the opportunity to see Winston often in the last couple years I've kept up with him through mutual friends. He was a gentle soul and always had a smile for everyone he met, and that's the way I will remember him.

Winston touched so many lives, so many that he may not have been aware of it. Now he is gone, to celebrate with his mother Debbie and Grandmother Annabelle. Cameron you are such a shining star in this world, and your father was very very proud of you what a strong and brave young man you have become. Life is so very fragile, and love is so very, very precious may we never take it for granted. God must have wanted Winston for a bigger, better auction than ever up in his kingdom. Cameron and Kelly, may you carry on as Winston would want you to just remember how special you were to him. He loved you both so very very much, more than anything in this world, and that is the comfort you will have eternally. God is there for you even though your pain is so great he can guide you through this most difficult time of your lives, just lean on him and your family and friends. May the entire Garth family find comfort at this time as well. I know you all are suffering and my heart goes out to you.

I first met Winston around two years ago. He's the inspiration behind all the success that I've had these past three years. He was my coach, who kept pushing me to go beyond my dreams. He was always there for me in good times and in bad. He is a reason to wake up and get going each morning. The time he spent here in the Philippines was the best three weeks of my life. I will always love you, Winston. Thank you so much for everything, you will always be in my prayers. I will never ever forget you, I will cherish all the memories. To his family and friends, my heart goes to all of you. He is such a great person and he will be missed.

Kelly and Cameron are very special to me. Through them I have learned of a very special man that they loved so dearly. My heart goes out to Kelly. Our family is grateful for having the opportunity to spend time with Winston and your family over the years. Damien and Jarrod will always remember the times they spent at the beach house with Winston and Cameron swimming and fishing. Through the great, undying love that Kelly and Winston had for each other, they molded Cameron into the smart and endearing boy that he is. I will always miss and think of Winston when I see the tide run up on the shorelines. Life is so precious and we need to always be reminded that the love that we receive from our family is truly the tie that binds us all together. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Garth Family:
Losing my friend of nearly 30 years is still difficult to grasp. I have so many memories of good times spent with your family, and especially with Winston. From Cub Scouts to High School; 4th of July at the beach house; Visiting at FSU, the trips to Ft. Lauderdale ( especially diving at the reef); his love of the ocean; his love for Sausage (the pet AND the food);his love for Cameron and the desire to see him succeed. I will deeply miss my friend, but we can all take great comfort knowing he is in good company with The Lord, Debbie and Grandma Garth.
