Leonard Greer Obituary

EASLEY — Mr. Leonard Bennett "Ben" Greer, Jr., 77, husband of Patricia Sorrells Greer, passed away Sunday May 6, 2018.

He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard B. Greer and Ada McCollum Greer; four brothers, Furman McCollum, Hughey Greer, John Greer and Jim Greer and one sister, Margaret Thigpen.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Wade Greer (Susan), Brian Greer and Brad Greer (Michelle); four grandchildren, Joshua Greer, Lexi Greer, Alex Greer, and Brian Haulk; two great-grandchildren, Kenadie Haulk and Benning Haulk and two foster grandchildren, Elijah Taylor and Brook Taylor.

Ben was employed at the Arial Plant of Alice Manufacturing Company for 44 years and he was a member of Elljean Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, on the welcoming committee and on the building and grounds committee.

Visitation will be on Wednesday May 9, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday May 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Elljean Baptist Church Building Fund, 605 Elljean Rd., Easley, SC 29640.
